Started by a collaborative exhibition held in Walcot Chapel, Bath (March 25th - 31st 2024), Lore and Land has grown into a collective response to just some of the many facets of British folk culture. Formed by artists Asha Uberoi, Libby Bove, Gemma Dunnell, and Abigail Tinnion, they share in a creative appreciation for the subject both collaboratively and through their unique approaches. Drawing inspiration from a variety of folk themes including the occult, nature, machinery, and lost artefacts, Lore and Land explores the various ways we can connect with our environment and one another in this time of environmental crisis and political divide.
